Meet Phil.
Phil needs to be fed, and chewing gum is his favourite food. It’s your job to feed him.
The gum (and other small trash items) go into Phil's head.
After 20 pieces of trash have passed the motion sensor, Phil's begins his performance:
he chews, he laughs, he thanks you for your gum, and he generally just has a joyous time thanks to your trash-feeding efforts.
The performance is displayed in the head-shaped top of a bollard street-light. This gives the Phil Feeder the dual purpose of being a trash bin, AND a street light. They are small enough to be able to be placed in any city area (or university, school, train station, etc.), however the technology is easily replicable and several larger versions could be developed to get people excited about Phil.
