The Ground is Made of Lava!
2009-12-15 21:59 - 0 KommentarerThe problem i'm attempting to solve is to reawaken interest in public parks which, within cities, often go underused and under appreciated. In the most basic terms, this would be a series of footprints, applied in anything from chalk to plastic cutouts that hammer into the ground (similar to a tent stake) and 'start' at a point near a public park. Ideally right after a crosswalk (as seen in the image) that coax you into wandering along WITH the footprints, taking you over rocks, jumping over sidewalks, mud puddles, climbing trees, etc; and eventually terminating in a large tarp, with a birds-eye-view image of a lava flow. Engulfing everything from rocks, old cars, a small bridge, bits of wood, etc etc. A small printed indication would read "the ground is made of lava!" at which point you hop from rock to rock to car top to tree limb to...well, you get the idea. This is purely to make fun FUN again, and remind the urban world that parks are extremely important to get out of the mindset of 'work, eat, sleep, repeat'. Fun is way better than that!
