I want to create a mobile, sectional pipe organ that can be installed and performed anywhere, turning the space itself into a unique, reactive instrument. A large portion of the project will be public installations, allowing people to see, play, and experience the instrument for themselves. The idea is to inform people about an awesome instrument that is little understood and seldom played with by creating a invasive and interactive version that can be played by anyone. I've designed a pipe organ in which each pipe is independent, connected along to a central air supply through a long hose. This means that each pipe can be placed anywhere as part of a larger installation. I could turn a park, a warehouse, a fire escape, or a gymnasium into a pipe organ, playing the space with its own unique voice. Inskickad av Matthew Borgatti.
