An Openworld "Game of Your Dreams" aims to engage players around the world in virtually defining what they see as workable ideals - projects to develop exemplary areas where self-funding innovations in learning, health, water, food, and the environment can be introduced.

To start, individual players or teams will go to the online game website and summarize their ideal project, as well as 3D models (in Google Sketchup, etc) for communities around the world to visualize the offered ideas. Other entrants in the game can create projects of their own, or volunteer to assist existing teams in doing research to refine technical or financial sustainability plans. Such contributions can include doing online research into experiences of similar ideas, site selection criteria, estimated costings, demand surveys, and sustainability projections.

In economically struggling areas of the world, local leaders who join the game will review the proposed innovations and choose the idea(s) they would most like to implement on local sites via partnerships with the design teams of their choice. Working with their prefered project design parters, the local leaders would commit to a site and a success-sharing development framework. This commitment would take the form of a publicly-viewable partnering agreement. Based on this agreement, the local champions would work with their partners' networks of online volunteers to prepare pre-investment studies for review by funders in leading sites.

Completed preinvestment studies could be posted on Kiva, Prosper or similar sites to attract financial backers for quickstart development at the initial location. In cases where communities offered large "greenfield" sites for success-sharing partnerships, participants in the quickstart phase could become beneficiaries of revenues flowing from second and third phase development. These later development phases could be put out to global tender to ensure maximum returns for the community and the formative global partners.
